About Me

Christina is an author, an award-winning writer across print, digital and screen, a founder, and an experienced senior executive. As a globe-trotting ABC (Australian-Born Chinese) and twice-married mother of two, Christina is passionate about doing and creating work that helps to connect people.

 

Books

Christina is the author of Unbreakable: The Warren Randall Story (September 2026), a commissioned, 364-page biography and coffee table book about Australia’s trailblazing winemaker (Seppelt Great Western), entrepreneur (Seppeltsfield, Tinlins) and the largest private owner of vineyards in Australia. She is working on her second book.

 

Business & Social Impact

Christina has led business networks and helped scale education technology companies and arts organisations in Australia, the UK and China. Previously, she ran the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, tripling growth in corporate membership and doubling the number of business, training and keynote events. As marketing director of her brother’s education technology company, Makers Empire, she helped scale the company to 3.5+ million users in 50 countries. As corporate development manager of Europe’s largest arts centre, the South Bank Centre, she managed relationships with key sponsors.
After her late-diagnosis of ADHD in mid 2025, Christina started researching ADHD. She is currently creating digital tools, services and content projects that help make people with ADHD and interest-driven minds rewrite their story.

 

Print and Digital Writing

Christina has been writing professionally since the mid-90s. She was music editor (1995) and then paid co-editor-in-chief (1996) of the University of Adelaide’s student newspaper, On Dit, publishing 23 80-page A3 issues.
Whilst on extended maternity break she began a food and travel blog, The Hungry Australian, which led to a new career in food and travel writing, food and travel photography, recipe development, and food styling.The Hungry Australian won the Australian Writers’ Centre’s national 2013 Best Australian Blog competition, out of 1,100 entries. Apple also used The Hungry Australian in multiple Australian marketing campaigns for their iPad and MacBook.

 

Screenwriting & Story

Christina has worked in writers’ rooms contributing story development and research to scripted drama series developed for Disney+, ABC and SBS. Christina was awarded a Varuna Fellowship (2023) to work on her Tiger Mum for Hire screenplay, shortlisted (top 3) for the $80,000 SBS Emerging Screenwriters’ Incubator (2022), and selected for AFTRS’ SA Talent Camp. She loves exploring the drama and comedy found in stories about cultural identity, family dynamics, and gender issues.

 

Food, Travel & Lifestyle Writing

Christina has contributed hundreds of commissioned food, travel and lifestyle articles to local, national and international publications, including Jetstar Magazine,The China Daily, and The Adelaide Review. She was the Australian food editor of About.com when it was part of The New York Times and her food writing and recipes have appeared in Gourmet, Women’s Day, Elle Decor, Buzzfeed, The Age, and Elle.

 

Food & Travel Photography

Christina’s recipes and photography have appeared in local, national and global print and online publications including Elle, Gourmet, Elle Decor, The Huffington Post, BuzzFeed, and InDaily. Christina also won the Outstanding Use of Photography award at the Australian Writers’ Centre’s Best Australian Blogs 2013 competition for her post on Dubai’s souks (markets).
Christina was also one of three photographers commissioned to document 130+ restaurants and wineries for the award-winning, 462-page coffee table book, Flavours of South Australia, for Smudge Publishing.
